About Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are a type of thin, flattened scar. Although the cause for the development of stretch marks is not fully understood, it is thought to be due to changes in the skin induced by hormonal changes. Then, mechanical stretching of the skin which is associated with rapid growth or weight change will cause the skin to rupture. The results are stretch marks.6
